The abstract landscape series was begun over a decade ago and continues to today. It is presented here in chronological order from most recent work to earliest. To get a sense of the progression of the work, it is recommended that you begin at the end and click forward to present day.

Upon my return to Washington, DC, in 2007, I was confronted with a different city than the one I’d know prior to leaving in 1999. I moved to the 14th and U Street corridor (where I remain), now surrounded by new development and new opportunities.

This adaptation to my new surroundings resulted in some confusion to be sure. During these years, remnants of my time in New Orleans influenced my paintings while I took in my new surroundings, trying to find a new way to express the changes to the landscape around me.
